Newport Pally Noobie Quest

I just started recently and I made an Iksar Warrior. Immediately upon zoning into the game, my GM with a quest read was standing directly in front of me.
Then I tryed out a Half Elf Palladin. Not only was the GM not in front of me, but I couldn't find one anywhere near my guild. Do Newport Pallidans not have newbie quests?
I looked through the forums, but couldn't seem to find anything that would help. Is there a list or guide somewhere that helps new players find there major quest NPC's?
Forgive me if I'm just whining, but I was always under the impression that your main quest NPC should be somewhere very near to your starting location. ANY help on this would be much appreciated.

I thought I hailed him and he didn't give me any quests....but I'll try again and see whats up. Thanks

Yah, JUST checked. When I hail him he says about "Greetings, and welcome to the Hand of Life". No quest prompts. I even tryed "I'm looking for work" "What is the hand of life", stuff like that. Still didn't get a quest. Sorry to make a big deal, but without quests, its just lots of killing.

Hm. What's your faction with him? Amiable or indif?

EDIT: I found the problem, faction isn't set right for pallies. it will be fixed next patch (Tuesday prolly)
