Hiya, folks. I used to play EQ way back in the days between Kunark and Planes of Power. I quit shortly after PoP came out for various reasons that probably don't differ much from the reasons from some other folks here.

Anyway, since the end of my EQ journey I've gone out and tried other MMORPGs such as WoW, LotRO, DDO, Rift, and countless free to play mmorpgs.

I play mmorpgs to relax and have fun and I am hoping to find some peace (I do anticipate some occasional drama and encounters with jerks since it's impossible for this not to happen ) and enjoyment here on Shards of Dalaya. Am I looking to the wrong server for such a thing?

I've bookmarked the site and your Wiki and I'm reading that whenever I'm lost. I've read SoD is not exactly like Live which should be fun and interesting. :)

I'm accustomed to soloing , but I don't mind groups either. I'm friendly but shy and tend to be a little nervous when asking people for help or to party with me. Would shaman be an okay class to solo sometimes? At least early on?

Shaman can solo, group, be a king, and have a cute wolf pet.

As for the server....most of it is chill. You will find the forums to have some opinionated differences about many things, but we aren't like "lawl im going to train you and steal your blackburrow camp"

I only play trolls with non-luclin models. How can you not love them? If you roll a shaman, PM me your name. I will give you 1k to start off.
