newbie questions

If anyone can be so kind as to answer a few questions about EQ in general I would be ever so happy. I visited the EQ official website and downloaded their client..... does that client include any of these expansions needed to play on this server? Also do i need to do anything special to get the server running? like know port addresses or have to get some sort of extra expansion? im downloading the one u get from the EQ website from SoE will i need to download anything else on top of that aside from this server's personal patch.

As far as I'm aware of you should be good with that client. Aside from getting the client SoD's patcher is extreamly easy to use you just point it at your Everquest.exe and it will do the rest. You don't have to do any manual changes aside from pointing SoD patcher at your .exe.

thank you for your help.... that was all i needed to know. mainly if i needed anything extra, such as expansions or something but if its all included all i gotta do is treat it like a UO freeshard and direct it to the client

Please be aware that you can not play regular EQ and SoD from the same folder really.

ok i installed the one that u get from the official site and directed the SoD patcher to the EverQuest application file....... i just get it cant load EQW.dll then i downloaded a fix i found on this site now that i got the game running i just see 303 string not found for ever possible gump up to the login... ididdnt go farther
