Newbie question: boats

Hello all,

I was wondering if there were different boats with different destination sailing out of Newport... I was trying top get to Erudin yesterday for the first time and the boat instead took me to Freeport. I couldn't find much info about this in the wiki (but since I started only a few days ago I might have missed it).

Hense my question: multiple boats with multiple destination ? and if so do they have different names ?

You can ask an NPC at the port authorities which boats have a certain destination!

There is 4 boats (click on them to see their names), 2 of them sail to Erudin and 2 sail to Freeport! You can also see where you are headed as soon as you enter the Storm Sea on the ship.

If the boat enters the zone on the bottom right corner it will sail straight to the next ocean and freeport, if the boat enters in the center right part of the map it will make a curve to the docks and then continue to Erudin!
 
Newport to Erudin Boats end in "ing", Whispering Wind and The Following Sea I think.

The other 2 go to FP.
