Newbie Priests (Healing spells)

I recently started a cleric and palliden for a friend of mine and am leveling them up and i noticed something about the clerics heal minor healing 10mana for 10damge heal, then Lighting for 28 mana is a 29 Damge heal. now them numbers might seem fine for someone whos got mana gear but. what about new players wareing leather and no stat plate thay bought from the city merchent?.

I would suggest a new line of Healing spells be added in only for pure priest classes (druid shaman clerics) thats a bit more mana effecient

Out of fun I started boxing an SK and a cleric absolutely untwinked. Both are ~Level 10 atm and imho the Cleric is fine without further Stat Items (except the Newbiequest that will get you the Summon Water Neck in NP).
You can easily keep up a group fighting against DB-yellows at this level with a second cleric patching. You just need to coordinate your mana in a way :)
 
well i have to say i made a small mistake in the mana cost above its 25 mana for light healing not 28, and my pally and i are level 6, its not imposable no. just suggestion that i be considerd with the fact that there only role realy is to heal

Root, Stun, Lull (all Level 9 except Lull iirc) are no healing spells ;)
Like I posted at another place class variety is amazing. I won't post anymore, just go ahead and discover what your cleric can do :)
 
I've played one cleric 1-10 basically solo and another 1-19 mostly grouping. There is no problem with their low level heals; making them lower cost or higher healing would just make Clerics able to basically never stop and rest while soloing/duoing. Get into a 6-man group with a real tank and some other classes and your Cleric will keep up just fine... in fact, if you play him right I'm guessing most of the int-casters in the group will go OOM before you (except maybe necros).
 
After settleing down into a decent group, i found i was wrong about this. and it is just a duo problem and applogys for createing a useless thread
 
I AM glad to hear that you've started to find the Clerics' heals to be more in line. I know nothing is more frustrating than constant downtime because nothing seems to work well... I've had quite a problem with my brand new Mage/Rogue duo I started a couple days ago... but that's also 'cause I have no tank and no healer in my duo ;)

Anyway, glad things are working out better now.
