New to WR

Hey everyone this is my second week playing WR and I'm enjoying myself quite a bit. What I like most about WR is that there aren't a lot of twinks and PLers who only care about getting uber lewt. WR sort of feels like the first time I started playing EQ (5 years ago). I can lvl quickly too, last night I got my cleric to lvl 20. Keep up the good work!

No, I'm not two boxing and it's not really that difficult to solo. I just root and nuke the mobs. The hardest part is trying to tank when I'm OOM.

Although it's doable, It's difficult to solo a cleric after a while. I'd suggest you join a guild, make some friends, or start 2boxing.

Or make love to a manatee.

Encouraging people to twobox instead of actually learning something about the cleric class makes Wiz a sad Wiz.

<shrug> Guess I'd rather have them stick around as a cleric than burn out at level 40 and scoot off. Or worse -- play a mage.

It's not groups are impossible to get nowadays, at least not if you're willing to start it. Our population at the lower levels has boomed quite a bit.

I have a 65 cleric on TT so I've had plenty of time to group as one. Since I've been soloing I've had the opportunity to check out zones that people never visit. These zones are always empty but they give really good exp.

I'm new too... really enjoying it so far. I totally agree, this feels a lot like when I started playing EQL 4 years ago. It's a feeling I've been searching for again for some time. It no longer exists on EQL, which is why I quit, I feel lucky to have found a similar experience here.

Seems like with WR they've taken EQL and evolved it to what it should have evolved to instead of it taking a divergent path with the Luclin expansion.

Yep. Wiz is right. I have no idea what I'm talking about. I haven't been below 60 in almost 6 months now, I think...

Disregard double boxing suggestion! ;)

You have a valid point. I will agree. Most of the dudes in my guild are making two boxes because they can't solo. I just have to trust their opinions when it comes to the matter, as i haven't played either on Live, nor WR. As a monk I can solo, and do it fairly decently, but it's a lot more fun to two box a druid as well. Although I doubt I would two box if it weren't my brother's character that I'm simply maintaing the same level as me.

My problem is, as a mage, I'm constantly lom. It takes forever, even with FT staves, to regen my mana to near full. Once I get FM, I have to expell a great percentage of it to take down a blue/white con mob. I've been trying to level a bard to box for mana regen songs.

I wish I could just find a place that I could solo. Indoor zones aren't mage friendly ;( I think I need to also work on my indoor techniques quite a bit, but it's so frustrating being in perpetual xp debt. /shrug

problem with groups is when someone dies and gets auto-booted from the group. makes grouping a rather PITA.

Use channels?
Or you could fix this game!!

Just curious though, is it actually like that for a reason, or is it just some issue?

I normally just send tells if I die, although I haven't grouped since level 15 in Black Burrow.

Group thing just requires me to sit down and code it, really. It's a time matter.
