Hello Everyone, I was over at Monkly Business website saw a link Janseth posted over there about this site so i thought to come check it out. This seems it will be fun. Hopefully soon enough i will be able to sign up if not i guess i have patience.


So do most of the player base know everyone?

The only person I really know is my RL friend that plays once in a while, I would guess that people in guilds would know each other, and more then half of the people that play are in guilds.

I play my DRU and SHD combo, I try too get to know more people by holding events, I'm planning on holding another event once I get enough pp together.
 
I always like a good event. Guessing I will 2box as well until I can catch up. Iksar monk, Iksar Shaman i think will be my choices.
 
My friends found Winter's Roar after we saw a random link passed down via the grapevine. The link is down now, but there used to be some animated gifs parodizing Lord of the Rings, where Boromir wants to launch the ring into Mordor using a catapult, hosted on www.wintersroar.com. One of us just started exploring the domain and discovered WR. :)

(BTW, the gifs are still scattered around the net. I don't think they were created by anybody at WR. Just do a Google search for "Boromir catapult" and you'll find it.)
 
Am 100% newbi in WR.

Only people I know are my RL friends and one friend that told me about WR that I meet from Knight Online. So that makes 3 :)

I meet a real nice Druid and Necro that I got to play :) Hope to play with you all at some point :)
 
Before you make iksars, be aware that although iksar have higher HP regen, and significantly so, they level much slower.

Humans also have the benefit of quicker skill gain. No tail though. :(
 
Cynnyn's cookie theiving is easy to deal with. Just do as both Caeith and Kyeth do; carry poisoned cookies within your pockets...

well, thought id put my lil comment...
ive met a lot of people. as far as friends. eh i know a few i talk to on a daily basis and a few i say hi to when i see them around the world.. i try to be friend by tossin buffs and heals when i see that someone could use it. but i think i agree with luxx(clue), u really get to know a lot more people when u get in a guild.. as im 31 with both my chars, war/dru, i havent joined one. but instead of joining one of the top guilds i think ill aim for one of the smaller ones. try to help them get big in any way i can. figure u get to know people better in a smaller guild and as it gets bigger u get to know all the newer people as u go.
eh i think ive seen 2/3 the people who posted here in game though.. its a small world =)
 
So where is the main meeting spot that you would more than likely run into people? Say like the nexus or so on?
Oh wanted to ask if anyone knew what had happened with the eqemulator site, maybe hacked? i think it has been down coming up on 4 days straight now. That could be normal if it happened before heh. thanks everyone for posting.
 
I doubt they've been hacked, but they are having hella issues.

Main meeting place = nexus, although it's lately been buggy and lagged out.

The person running the login server and website/forums has been unreachable since feb 2nd. It's unknown if he is on vacation, abducted (by people or aliens), hurt, dead or what. No answer on his home or cell phone. They're working on it though.
