I'm an EQ2 vet, loved it, don't have it anymore, lost interest due to community annoyance factor.
My initial interest in MMOGs stemmed from Ultima Online, but I saw and read a lot about Game, and the world/ideas/interface enthralled me, but didn't ever set up my own account.
I walked up to a man playing Game in my local coffee joint, and pestered him relentlessly with questions when I learned the gist of the SoD world. Kudos, BTW, even the basic rules seem to filter out a lot of the BS I usually find annoying in game. I really like the environment you seem to have created here, GMs/Devs and players alike.
Since I've never extensively played Game, I'm learning a brand new thing again, so the similarities/differences between Game and SoD will be lost on me, but I'm looking forward to exploring a world created by people who care about it, and I assume that the time put into SoD's custom patches and such will serve to create smooth and non-dull gameplay, even if I don't notice improvements over Game. I'm sure I'll not be let down, and thanks for all your work.
