new sign on works, old doesn't?

So I played SoD back when it was "winter.s roar" and then stopped for a while. I couldn't remember my old sign in and figured it had probably been deleted. But then I checked for my old characters and found them and with a few tries remembered my sign in name and password. I got to the server screen, but when I push play it either goes to an eqgame.exe error or restart to the connection screen and gives me a 1017. But it only happens with my old sign in, the new one works just fine. So I am wondering why one works and one not, and whether it would be possible to move my old character to my new account if there is no fix for this problem.

Ack! Now it's doing it for both.
 
Ok my new account works again, but the old one is still broken. Is it possible for someone just to move my old characters to my account that works?
