New Raid Zone

im new around here, so all of you guys dont know me. but i got to thinking, back when i played on eqlive, my favorite zone was always Veeshans Peak. it was the most beautiful zone i ever gained access to, and i explored it to my entirety with Eye of Zomm (cast eye of zomm in a wall and it would randomly get teleported anywhere in the zone) and i never thought EQ gave it any justice on live with its lengthy key quest.

so anyway, back to my idea, make a new npc in shadowhaven that would allow guild raids (something like once a week) able to port into Veeshans Peak. some cool end mobs could include massive creatures like the Avatar of War, Emperor Ssra, or some other monsters from Vex Thal.

what do you guys think?
 
WR uses all custom content, so such raid mobs wouldn't and never will exist on WR.
As for the zone itself, it's qutie possible that it'll be used when the continent formally known as Kunark is put in, which on WR is Kaezul's land (you know, the big evil tyrant guy that is the cause of all the mess on WR).

We have enough raid mobs anyway. For every one that is killed, 3 more respawn.
 
I think we need another raid zone, but not one with live mobs, and we certainly don't need more dragons. :)
 
How about an outside zone like pre luclin planes that have long pop timers for mobs , like 1 week , 3 days etc...
 
i didnt mean those mobs in perticular, i just meant for the character models to be used and scaled for use.
 
There are several zones that could be made into raid zones if they were populated, such as PoV, and the place that requires a quest for the Key in Akheva

Warslik Woods in Kunark should be made into an out door raid zone.... the amount of plants in that zone would certain help people get lost and die : ) it would be a great deal of fun :)
 
Wouldn't mind a high raid/adventure zone like Cmalath or Catacombs but limited to, and requiring, 2 groups working together, possibly in different areas of the zone at times, to finish it. Since it's quite possible to 2 group areas like Storms Eye save the nameds and get decent group exp.

You just described Vex Thal.
 
Milech A would be upper guk, Mielech B would be lower guk, Mielech C would be sebilis.
 
I don't know if you're taking suggestions for raid zones, but if it's possible I have an idea that would be much fun.. might be hard for pathing.. but you could have all of the monsters spawn in the back of the dungeon, and move forward to a set point.. so the deeper you go, and the more you kill, the more you end up having to kill, as the ones you killed in the beginning are marching back up to their post, and attack you again on the way.. I think that could be a load of fun, and very dangerous (also LAGGY!) just an idea ive had rolling around in my head for a while, this post reminded me of it! :p

certainly would make raids a lot more confusing, and no more solo pulls with just the boss.. 30 vs 1 isn't fair! give the raid boss some backup to add a sense of accomplishment for the players :)
 
Who says the players don't feel a sense of accomplishment? Try killing some of these high end mobs and tell me you felt like you didn't accomplish anything, even if it is "30 v 1" as you put it.

It seems like you have this idea that a high level raid is 10 mobs lined up waiting to die individually, and then 1 boss mob who asks us when we're ready, says hi, hands over his loot, and crawls back into a hole to die.
