New port spell for Storm Sea

Would it be ok to add in a druid or wizard port spell set for Storm Sea?
Currently when the boats are messed up, the players have no way to access either the MQ guy for Newport or the Iksar Skeletons for the bone chips.
This locks anyone attempting to do the MQ until such times as they can catch the boats working.

While not a major bug, this small change would allow for players to gain access to this zone during the times when boats are errored out.
Either would do, but since Druids already have a portal to Sea of Swords, perhaps a Wizard port to Storm? This could allow for a TL in the set also.
 
I like this idea in comparison to putting TL'ers at the docks (a previous suggestion to the solution). Sometimes the GM command to fix the boats doesn't resolve the issue, and this could be a non-lore/game breaking solution for when admins are not around to work their magic. Just my 2cp as a player - not a staffer.

Agree. (I swear that command just ignores me!!! :tinfoil: )
 
I would second and third that. Been waiting for several days for the boat to pop back up :).

EDIT: Oh, and yes, if this was going to exist, it would have to be added to the "low" level wizard ports. Or the higher level wizards, constantly bugged, would just not do it...
 
Only problem I see with this is, unless the wiz/druid is willing to wait around for you to finish everything you need to do, you're gonna be stuck in a zone you can only leave by boat. People without gate will only have the option of /cm suicide.
 
that's really not as big a problem as not being able to get there at all, kaledorm... i also support this, and would actually go so far as to say it ought to be a mid-lvl port for both wizards and druids. maybe around lvl 28-34.
 
i think i would be best to just put in a porter like the oasis -> sunder guy personally. Then 1 druids/wiz are constantly bugged and 2 it efficiently solves the boat problem. I was trying to do MQ1 with ranger the other day and after 2.5 days of petitioning boats down and getting many responces of fixed(but them still being down) they finally works. A porter NPC seems like the easiest solution IMO.

Or spend less than 10p on a gate potion from an alchemist.

A port to SS would be great!
 
Theres already SS pots AFTER you meet the quest mob there.
Why not change it so you get that potion alittle earlier, like before you have to go to SS?
It wouldn't fix the entire problem but it'd at least let you reach the quest giver more easily.
 
level 29/34 group ports to SS would be wonderful. i've got a character who simply hasn't done the MQ because every time in the past month i've tried to get there, i can't.

I think you are confusing the two seas. The charged potion is for Sea of Swords (SoS), not Storm Sea.
