Hey guys, this idea just came to me, and though there isn't really any dramatic 'need' for implimentation, i think it would be both fun and situationally usefull.
The idea would be a new sort of 'port' for druids and wizards. I supose that the only logical place for it to take you would be the nexus, so i guess...on spell each? Anyway, the idea, to be novel and exciting would center around two things:
1.) A summoned NPC. Basically a nexus rift, but you could call it anything, probably something different for druids and wizards with a RP aspect? Anyways, the spell would summon this rift type npc who IMO should act more like a quest npc than a rift. for the druid version just say, you could implement some kind of chit chat that was very short and to the point, but anyone that wants to use it, could just follow the short text and say a key word. Durration of this npc would have to be figured out, i dont think it should stay up for too long at all, but long enought that after a big group or a raid people could use it to quickly get where they need to go in a novel way. One last suggestion for this part would be to give each one a 'look' a model. you know how it is for druids, wolves bears, etc. and for a wizard a drake or imp or well, i dont know, it could be more creative
2.) I think that if you were going to do this, you should do it well, as in fun. I was thinking allong the lines of an actual rift like area around that mob. Like allong with the rift there would be 3 other things summoned around it such as focuses for wizards or even stationary objects like 3 trees for druids, surrounding the rift, or something. On eqLive they have a zone for summoning corpses, in the zone there is a pit where there is a circle of skeletons in a circle that all perform this one casting type 'motion' all at the same time, and it looks impressive, in a smaller scale i think this would make a perfect flashy and effective spell if done right, and i know it would be fun.
