new player to SOD bard questions

hello everyone I am new to SoD and ive played for 2 days so far and im enjoying it but I have a few questions due to the aoe differences between live and SoD I have found myself fighting face to face with the mob and due to the face to face fighting I need better gear and that costs pp normally and or quests so my question is where would you recommend a lvl 20 bard go to farm some pp and what would be some good armor/weapons quests to do so I am stronger in a fight currently I am wearing plate mail armor and silver plate armor and due to the weight of it all I am encumbered all of the time so strength gear would be great aswell I figure I would like to set him up with warrior style gear not the normal bard gear but any recommendations would be great thanks
 
Go into Northern Badlands and kite Lions, Lion Cubs, and Bandits for the exp turn in's... The Spiders aren't really worth kiting because it is really hard to get them into range of your songs without getting hit. DDD isn't really hard to land, but CoD isn't worth the effort really.

You will want to try and buy Dalium or Mithril Plate more then likely, and look over the listsold for various Str jewelry and other slightly affordable gear with a good bonus to Str to get you unencumbered.

Can't really recall offhand a good place for farming money, though you could try farming Greater Lightstones off of the wisps on the island between Newport and Erudin.
 
Lightstones and Greater Lightstones are sold to merchants, and there is a merchant on the island. there are more then likely some better areas you could go to, but you should be able to easily kill the wisps solo, in melee... Thus keeping up your melee skills while tanking, which needs to be kept capped as long as possible, gives you some exp since they should be blue to yellow still at 20, and gives a bit of coin. Greater Lightstones should sell for 1-3pp range iirc, not sure on exact numbers, and are very light as well.
 
ok cool thanks alot I am planning on doing the main quest when i can get on then working on money I think I will end up doing those light stones for quite a wile I need to get some good gear going
