New player - looking for info

Hey folks,

I can't seem to find info on what expansion the server is up to and specifics re: game mechanics. Is everything 100% live like with regular rate exp etc? It seems there's some virtual currency floating around known as 'fame' though I can't seem to find any central information re: how much it's used or if/should a person go about building it up once inside game.

Additionally, what are server population levels like? EQ Emulator servers aren't anything new to me so I'm familiar with the general feel.

Luclin graphics are enabled I assume? I believe I watched a youtube and it appeared that way. Are epic quests in game?

Apologies if this is all covered elsewhere, I've been looking - perhaps not well enough!

Thanks in advance,

I stumbled across various other people asking these same questions and managed to find my way to the WIKI and various pages within.

I think I've answered most of my questions, I guess all that's left to do is login and try it out.

To clarify, you indicate you're allowed to 2 bot maximum, per human player. That is to say if my wife and I wanted to run a party of 4, we're allowed as long as she's physically playing 2 ad I'm playing 2?

Correct - Due to a few incidents the rules changed a tiny bit with bots logged in. Lets say you have two bots in-game and you need to log in another for whatever reason (buff, money, something). Make 100% sure you have logged COMPLETELY out of the game with /camp before you log in another.

Check this out as well

We use a thing called Fomelo here to look up player eq and stats. Great for scouting out what everyone else has and certain things about your char's that aren't clearly visible in game.

Pop is variable depending on time of day and week. @120 Mornings EST/US to 350+ at 7 - 8 pm. It also fluctuates depending on day of the week a bit as well.

Yes, luclin graphics are in.

Epic quests - There are not class type epics, but there are quests where you can receive items you will use pretty much forever. The Main_Quest is for an improving augment. Diety augments. Maybe not epic, but amazing weapons for class archetypes such as Ashpyre for priests and other classes. And of course, The_Vah

The Thurg quests are class-specific with amazing rewards. There are other class-specific quests which are sort've like epics. The shaman slow mask comes to mind.
