hello forum members.
i made a human warrior character and just made it to level 3..
im starting to figure out the game.. i think the worst part about the game is how basic it is.. it seems almost unfinished..
i dont like the typing and how in depth playing the game seems..
but im not here to complain..

i have 30 specilization points to spend..
but i dont know how..

can anybody show me how. and maybe suggestions on what to spend them on??

thanks
~john

oh also.. i have been trying to change a few things that i dont like about the gameplay..
i have changed the battlemusic to the music from aidynchronicles..
and am lost to how i can change the music that you hear while in freeport..
it is very annoyingl.

(i have been renaming and replacing the audio files but cant find the darn freeport music to replace it)

Welcome to Shards of Dalaya.

I can tell you that you can find out how to use your specialization points in game by using /cm specialize help in game.

I'm no help with music though, I play with sounds off.

The common answer for specializations is that it doesn't really matter, ultimately, since all of the areas will be maxed when you hit the highest levels. Basically, just pick one and start pumping points into it until you max it out, then switch.

I dunno, might start with Energy/Defense to maximize your mitigation, then start working on something like Blade/Strike when you hit 25 to increase your 1HS damage. Or, Blunt/Avoidance to increase your combat avoidance of damage.

And, yes, this game is complex, yet unfinished. I think what you're seeing is the rawness of the game, a legacy of the fact that what it's based on is over ten years old now. A lot has been learned in ten years, but this is how games were back then - you had to type and stuff, and it was pretty free-form. Heck, the original didn't even have stuff like "/cm d1" to make your life easy - you had to type the exact phrase, or you were hosed. Kinda funny to think about, now.

I was SOO jazzed to see the addtion of /cm d1 when I started playing. And you see it right off the bat once you roll a char.

I would say that most people who play this game actually played EQ1 to some degree. This game offers alot more then EQ1 will ever offer. I tighter knitted community, closer friends. No 54 person raids. Just all in all it is better.

Started out and never played EQ1 could be a bit hard but rolling a warrior is probably one of the easier classes to play as they more focus on gear then kiting, or spell casters.

I would also like to mention that you can 2 box here meaning you can play 2 characters at the same time. So with that said you can box your warrior with like a druid or cleric and you will find groups all the time. With warrior and cleric/druid you can basically just fill the other slots with whatever is available. Plus you get an exp bonus.

so hard to find new blood so please dont run him off even though i didnt tell him that being a warrior is probably the hardest thing to find a guild for cause most people have info for old ones with better gear.

Whats wrong with 54 persons raids? And btw,the max was 72.
If there is something I miss from live this is the every Saturday open Time/CoA raid.
