New player, few question

Lomax

Dalayan Beginner
Hi , i currently play on regular eq, but i am giving Shards of Dalaya a try...
Just wondering if the server have plenty of players, i mean it is hard to find groups both in low end and High end?
-There are many raiding guilds, and there are much stuff to raid?are all the raiding mobs new or there are some from the original eq?how about xp zones?

-Which aa's are avaliable?i mean which expansions?or all are new ?

-I am thinking in 2 boxing as i see it is legal, what u guys think it is the best duo?Sk/Shaman?War/Cleric? or others?
Does 2 box works alright in Shards of Dalaya or it is too much trouble(i saw pl complaning about crashes and stuff)

-i heard xp is faster than regular eq, how much faster?i mean in Regular eq i can make 1 aa per hour in a group ,how many aas can i make per hour in a good group?
and

- how long u guys think it would take to get to lvl 65?

thx

The server at peaks has around 220 people and since theirs none of the POK theres always players everywhere I promise you that.

I'm not sure about raids but high enough level yet

The expansions go up the Shadows of Luclin and a bit of the frog one.

Yes duel boxing is allowed personaly I don't use it because I don't think its getting levels the normal way but most people do anyclass /shaman or /cleric

Yes the eperiance is faster by i think its x1.5 but if your human you have a 10% bonus and half elfs get a 5% bonus

It's taken me about 3 hours or so to get to level 12 and I havn't played EQ in a loong time so some one that knows what their doing could probly get to level 65 in a week or so but i'm not sure.

*Edit* I'm not sure about AA i know its inplanteed thou, we also have a specialization system where you get points to spend of certian advancements. For combat their are stances you can switch depending on your role in a group or soloing

aa and such is slower here now.

was a point and time where aa was faster here but new eq expansions have come out that make live eq pass sod.

The aa go up to pop, and there are many custom aa's then from live.

It all depends on how hardcore you are to get past 65 as well. Friends help too

hmm ... i cant decide what classes i will play lol
what class u guys think is most needed atm, i pretty much like all the classes but bard(lol i play a bard on regular eq)

nah i will probably stick with the one i will pick
that why i am being over carious about it
i will probably play war/shammy duo
shammy for slow and a bit more dps then cleric
and war cause i always love tanking

I saw a guy who was SHM/Dru which seemed pretty cool at the time. I believe the term he used was buff rain.

Shaman/druid has problems in that on SOD shaman and druid buffs don't stack. On live it was druid and cleric buffs that didn't stack.

It took me less than a month to get to 65 two boxing basically the whole time. I rarely grouped with people. Very very rarely. It was a different server back then though.

Not really, no. It's been like six months since you were leveling at the most, and the game hasn't really changed radically since then on any level except for the raid capping.

The number of days it takes to get to 65 depends totally on the hours played daily. I am guessing that you were playing all the time Ramblo. For me duoing in sg getting ten percent of a level takes hours.

I believe he meant the number of people on the server. When we started playing the server was at 150 people generally, then before the server shut down it was at almost 400. It's back down to about 200 to 250...so there's a lot more people to group up with.

Shaman / Monk is an excellent choice...

I'd even go as far as saying it's the most versatile combo available..

Monk's tanking ability is almost that of a knight's level

Monks need a good nerf apparantly.

No no, I mean it's different in that there are more lower level people. When I was leveling up, zones like BB were pretty much empty for the most part, as were basically almost every zone. At that point I think the game was just starting to see an influx of people.

I didn't mean in any kind of physical game change, just server population / low end population change.
