Yeah, i'm not so sure this new patcher is worth all the trouble. I have no idea what anyone elses experiences are with it, but from the myriad of posts pertaining to problems with it as well as my own current issues, i'd say it'd would have been best to leave well enough alone.
When i try to run the new patcher, it worked fine. for a few hours.
I have no idea what could have changed between now and then, but now it definatly doesnt work, freezes at getting patch list.
I've read all the post, i've done all the troubleshooting that has been listed, none of it works.
On top of that, when i open the patcher i get that little browswer window that pops open and i have to click close 3 times to get rid of it just to get on to the non-functional patcher.
It takes twice as long to use this new patcher compared to the old one. And the extra window or two it opens isnt really necessary. i forgot what it was but if i could get my patcher to work i would run it and tell you. the one you have to click right after patching to get to the EULA thing.
If i may ask, just why was it necessary to change the patcher anyway? I can see a huge difference in the amount of posts having issues with the new patcher compared to the old.
Anyway, to make a long story short how can i and the originator of this thread fix this problem? My solution would be to revert to the old patcher.... but thats just me.
