New hard drive... Copy-paste or reinstall?

Well, we're fed up with our ol' 20Gig hard drive, so we'll be buying another just to hold my game files, with our "main" hard drive becoming the almost exclusive property of my wife. Now, I just need to know: one the new hard drive is plugged in, can I do a simple copy-paste from the old one or do I have to reinstall everything from scratch?

You can just copy and paste. I did that from my desktop machine to the laptop that I use to play when I'm on the road.
