New and trying to log in!

Hello! I am an old EQer and am trying to log in to SOD... I downloaded the SoD patcher, and linked it to my eq button. When I run the patcher, however, it seems to try to log into everquest? The name and pw I made on the SoD site are not recognized, but if I use my EQ name and PW it said my account is not active. (I know this, my eq accounts are not active atm.) Do you have to have an active eq account to log into SoD? If not, then how do I log in?

I appreciate some hand holding. I haven't eq'd in about a year and have been having horrible MMORPG withdraws. I'd love to get involved in SoD!

Go to your Ever**est folder and open the file "eqhost.txt". Check if the
file is pointed here:

}
[Login Servers]
{
"72.55.164.91:5997"
}

If not copy the ip addresses there. Make sure you check repatch all on the patcher.

*** Note Forgot to mention open it with notepad. Make sure to read this as well Starting SOD
