.net Question (yes question, not a flame, it's installed)

Hi All,

Installed the .net and the new patcher works fine - I have no problems with it.

The question I have is now every time I boot my computer it doesn't go directly to the desktop and instead asks me to "select a user", but since I am the only user on my pc, there is only one option. If I click the little button next to my name it goes to the desktop like normal, and I know it sounds minor, but its still annoying to have to do that if there is a fix. :p

Is there any way to make it auto log me so when I boot it goes to desktop just like it did prior to installing .net instead of having to click and select myself every time I reboot? Is there some .ini file or setting I can change or anything?

Thanks in advance,
Zyekad

To turn the Welcome screen on or off
You must have a computer administrator account on a computer that is a member of a workgroup or is a stand-alone computer to turn on or turn off the Use the Welcome screen feature. Logging on at the Welcome

screen is not available on computers that are members of a network domain.

Open User Accounts in Control Panel.
Click Change the way users log on or off.
Do one of the following:
To specify that users log on to the computer using the Welcome screen, select the Use the Welcome screen check box.
A user logs on to the computer by clicking his or her user account name on the Welcome screen. If a password is assigned to the account, the user is prompted to type it.

To specify that users log on to the computer without using the Welcome screen, clear the Use the Welcome screen check box.
The Welcome screen will no longer appear when you start the computer. To log on to the computer, type your user name (and password, if you have one) in the standard Log On to Windows dialog box.

Notes

To open User Accounts, click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click User Accounts.
Fast User Switching is available only when the Welcome screen is turned on. For more information, click Related Topics.

Heh ;)

couldnt find it on my own so I had to do a help search

I had this a while ago, and because I'm a pedantic fool, it pissed me off no end :D

I think I fixed it by making sure the Guest account was disabled, making sure the one and only account was mine & it was admin enabled, then, (not sure on this), my memory tells me that I went to safe mode and found some useless accounts that I was never going to use for the microsoft net package, (I only wanted the damn thing so I could use the ATI control panel), and I deleted them - fixed the problem.
