Necromancer Spell Change

Recently I have been in the situation where my group is relying on me for crowd control in high level undead zones, specifically High Keep and Catacombs. In each instance, I have been forced to do little more that chain cast mez on 2-3 mobs because the level 62 Necromancer Mez is not very long lasting and gets alot of resists. It seemed odd to me that there was no necromancer undead mez spell, so I'm thought about it and came up with one.

Replace the leve 63 spell Call of the Night with:

Enthrall Undead

Targetable Undead only Mezmerise with a max level of 64

Casting Time: 3 seconds

Magic based with a resist adjust of -30

Duration of 12 ticks.

Mana cost of 330


This spell would make necromancers a seriously viable alternative to enchanters in zones like Catacombs and High Keep, where currently a Enchanter is practically required for non-prison geared groups to advance deep into (hello jontrann) and it would fit in with the necromancers control of the undead.
 
After talking with Wiz on IRC, I have a new suggestion for this spell

Enthrall Undead

Targetable Undead only Mezmerise with a max level of 63

Casting Time: 3 seconds

Magic based with a resist adjust of -30

Duration of 10 ticks.

Mana cost of 430


Changing the max level to 63 so that its just slightly ahead of bards but still allows enchanters to reign over the high end mezzing duty

Increased the mana cost and lowered duration to make it harder to CC multiple mobs and still do high dps
 
Well I don't know about HK basement mobs and harder Cata mobs towards Tarlisha but a necro can keep 2 Jontran's adds mezzed completely fine.
Even though I'm not a necro, the idea of an undead mez seems better to me than random pets :D

Keeping the 2 jontran adds locked down with our current mez is basicially flipping a coin, even with 303 charisma. If you manage to land both initial mezzes, you have to not have any break early, and then chain cast them and pray you dont get a long string of resists.
