Necromancer Mindwrack Nerf

This is basically the spell that makes Necromancer attractive to a group. And this have to be in an area with casting mobs. Because the fear line of spells doesn't work on WR. Necromancer basically have to relly on groups at higher level because they can't deal with summoning mobs. Yes... you may say that necromancer can be DPS and Dots. But Dots generates considerable much more aggro compared to a wizard nuking and doing the same amount of damage. I've played both a lvl 60 wiz and a lvl 62 nec. Even with FD, it is way easier to not get aggro with the wiz even without concussion.

Yes, I agree that mindwrack needs to be tweeked a bit. But could you make the nerf less extreme? Like increase it to 1000 mana cost instead. In a group of 4 casters. This would net the group with 1200 mana. Or in the event of a group having a tank and two rogues. This would net the group with only 900 mana. The server have a very low population of necro as it is and it's hard for a necro to find group in comparison to other class as it is.
 
Giving a single class unlimited mana for an entire group when every other class has very limited mana choices is bad.

Mind Wrack as of live is a spell for a game that has horses, loads of flowing thought, and is adjusted for this.
 
MW on live was WAAAAY lower per tick mana regen, barely covering teh cost of teh spell, but very useful for your group. Also you could not chain cast this spell due to recast time, but you could set up chains of it for a caster/cleric group on raids. As soon as this was patched I mentioned it to wiz and he replied that "common consensus" was to not nerf per tick but to nerf recast time. Personally I think this was not teh right choice, but I also believe that most were not used to its live incarnation, and teh potential for abuse on WR raid mobs. The counter point to that though is never for a long time will u see more than 1/2 necros on a raid on WR with MW. In a group situation in live I would keep MW and zevs up and teh per boost from MW would be nice for teh group but not this impressive 0 risk, always 100 % mana situations. It was definetly a reason to bring a necro somewhere , if you could find one. I suggest we try to bring this spell back in line to live standards of lower per tick and slight recast, other than the extreme recast of 10 minutes. If that is Over powering you can always scrap it and retry another way.

What's everyone's thoughts then? The alternatives are keeping as is or changing it to something akin to 400 mana over 4 ticks for 300 mana.
 
Yes... Let's try the 400 mana over 4 ticks for 300 mana. If that doesn't work. Increase the mana cost back to 600.
