Necromancer Dark Empathy Line

I just figured that if I heal an Alt with my Necro Heals (had this happen with "Dark Empathy") it will heal normally but won't give any Assistance Penalty.
I don't think that is intended and according to an advice from Raherin I post this here. Would like a comment on this.

I got a small amount of assistance penalty for "healing" my monk with runes as a test, think its based on agro or something

So I could theoreticly heal my paladin with my druid out of gorup and as long as there is no aggro the paladin gets full XP? That doesnt quite seem right to me ....

Luas however had definitely aggro in that situations.
Looks like there is an issue with Anti-PL coding.

Well, let me give you a situation from last night, since I experienced this exactly as people are talking about it.

Level 21 Cleric, level 9 Rogue. Zone into MielA; they are NOT grouped. Rogue pulls, but gets both of the front-room mobs, AND the wanderer... so 3 mobs. Rogue begins to kill the mobs. Cleric drops a heal on the Rogue. The two mobs the Rogue is NOT hitting run to the Cleric and start trying to hit him. The Cleric just mindlessly watches them flail at him while healing the Rogue. Rogue kills first one, pulls one of the others off of Cleric, kills it. Cleric has healed Rogue at least 2, maybe 3 times by now. Eventually Rogue kills off all 3 mobs. Rogue has received maybe 4-5 nearly full heals from the Cleric through the fight... all 3 mobs give Rogue 100% full experience (no penalty).

This is how things were working last night. I would think at least for that last mob, my Cleric would have had significant aggro built up... but perhaps not. Regardless, as much as I LIKE the way it worked when I tested it, my guess is that it is not supposed to be that way (again, just from hearing people mention Anti-PL code). Oh, also tested with a lvl 18 wizzie putting a damage shield and the blades of frost proc on the n00b rogue and an enchanter putting haste on him. I was under the impression that at LEAST the damage shield and the heals during combat should have caused experience penalty. Note, I didn't continue with the wizzie, enchanter and cleric all assisting the Rogue like that... I just wanted to see, after the heal thing, if ANYTHING would cause assistance penalty.

Is it possible that there's... I dunno... an allowable level range? Like, if the toons are within 20 levels of each other, no assistance penalty is given... or something? I dunno.

Oh.. okay.. cool. I'd be scared to see what sorta exp my Rogue would have been getting for killing Dark Blues if not for the unseen AP... since he was getting ~4-7% per mob, and that's apparently with the hidden AP...

Putting a DS on a toon should never cause assistance penalty, nor haste, nor any kind of buff. Damage shields are level restricted and so are most beneficial buffs afaik. For example....you are not dropping a lvl 60+ DS on a lvl 9 toon, which would be nutty, its not allowed by the code.

The out of group heals are another matter entirely and sound abit off atm from what people have described here.

Correct, however if the DS does a significant amount of damage relative to the toon, you will get an experience penalty.

Just sitting there letting the mobs beat on your cleric is not building up agro. He has the little agro from the heal, which is massivly offset by the agro the rogue gets from stabbing the mob to death, thus no AP.

Level 24 necro here, i was able to heal someone with my spells but agian how much help can 32hps realy be at this level when the mobs are hiting for dubble 40's not to mention its not like your addeing New hitpoints to the agro list your just shifting them
