Necro Lich Illusion

My gnome necromancer hit level 34 Monday night and finally mem'd Call of Bones, the first skeleton illusion lich spell.

I did not realize that the skeleton illusions were race specific. The gnome skeleton was a little off-putting, but I think I could live with that. But the final straw was that my necromancer does not collapse into a puddle of bones when he sits. He kneels.

This made me very sad.

I had a drink, played a little more, and then logged off. Thought about it again this morning and decided that this will not do.

Do any of the necromancer races still get the puddle of bones animation?
If so, do I delete and re-roll or is there a race change option?

Race changes take more fame than you will most likely ever earn, you get spectre lich in a few more levels maybe you could not look at yourself xD

I've never seen this skeleton "kneel" when sitting. Is this a luclin model thing? I have all old models.

Yeah, I figured. Thought I would ask. And I'm not looking forward to spectre illusion.

Huh. I will test that tonight and report back. That would be an easy fix.

One of my guildmates talked about this, we think the ultimate lich form should be the spectre, who needs to sit down and collapse on yourself when you can float?

This turns out to be the case. Specifically the human model. As soon as I switched to the old human model, my skeleton works again.

Of course, now I run like a mummy.

I run with old models for trolls and elementals. Luclin models for most everything else. I may have stockholm syndrome from the old game, but I can't stand the old ogres and elf models. I go back and forth on gnomes and dwarves.

I hate floating. Luckily I'll probably never get enough worn regen to afford to run spectre, and will just sit in skele form forever.
