Necro Epic,was almost finished, told i would be compensated?

I was wondering what is going on with the Necro Epic quest?

I was almost finished the quest, when i was told by a gm, that the quest no longer exists. ;( and that the quests were all being redone.

I was also told that i would be compensated for how far i was into the quest. I still have the quest items in the bank as proof as to how far i was into the quest..

I know there was an announcement in game about the Epics, but unfortunately i was not on at that time. Any information about the quest , and compensation would be greatly appreciated.
