Nautilus, the Shir Blade of Empire - [MAGIC ITEM] [LORE ITEM] [NO DROP] Slot: PRIMARY Skill: 1H Slash Atk Delay: 20 DMG: 18 AC: 30 Cold DMG: 2 Focus Effect: Healing Increment VII Effect: Ice Comet (Combat, Instant) Skill Mod: Block +7% STR: +5 STA: +13 AGI: +18 WIS: +10 CHA: +45 HP: +195 MANA: +235 MR: +20 CR: +10 Damage Reduction: +5 Weight: 5.4 Size: Large Class: PAL Race: ALL

I have minor complaints after mucking through this quest and finally beating it.

1) If were going by 5 hp = 1 ac than how about we add 5 hp to this so its equal to the paladin one

2) what the fuck strength, dps stat over having worse tank stats than varisath and the paladin nautilus, gross. Would much rather axe the strength in favor of 5 more cha and agility/stamina due to overcap benefits with tomes and such.

3) The model, The model is the same as varisath, the sword from sepulcher and some other one or two im forgetting which is basically the used up old whore of tank weapon models, paladins atleast got to have the coterie longsword which is unused anywhere else in the game. Having it be the shadowknight epic would be fine or better yet the model from http://wiki.shardsofdalaya.com/index.php/Corrupted_Sword_of_Valor which seems to be used nowhere else afaik despite looking awesome.

4) The real issue, the focus on this is not an upgrade, it does not bring an upgrade through swappable gear with the currently known loot in game. This is not the same as the paladins focus where as you only get healing increment 7 from tier 10 onward. Shadowknights have damage 7 awaiting them the moment they can do a ed map and it flies at them multiple times after that, by the time you have this sword you most likely either have the farhag wrist or the sanctum helmet. There is only one side grade to the sanctum helmet which is flat out inferior for anything but experience groups/wearing for flowing thought (that being the helm of clear thought). You atleast get the option to wear a better chest on a paladin. Would it really be too much to want damage increment 8 on this considering the hell you go through to acquire it. Maybe there is some more suitable focus but as it stands the damage increment is a joke unless you intend to drop your farhag wrist for a golem battle band.

1. Agreed

2. Agreed

3. Varisath and the paladin Nautilus look like ass.

4. Nothing we have found from Ikisith has damage 8 on it, and you honestly feel that you should get it on a quested weapon from old world? If you want to complain about a focus effect, you might as well suggest it be something that none of the top five SKs have, which is Affliction enhancement 7.

Considering the effort and what shadowknights benefit from with damage increment 8 do you really think its out of line, the main point is damage inc 7 is poo poo. Affliction 7 is fucking useless for shadowknights and you know it.

I think it would be amazing to have damage increment 8, but considering the hardest thing to kill in order to get the weapon is a trash mob from tier 10 and we've yet to see the focus off of tier 10 bosses. I think you're aiming a little high.

ya the graphic on it sucks. even the farhag axe looks a lot cooler, hell, so does evolution. would it be possible to switch this to like a soulfire/fiery avenger or even a warrior epic look? but agreed, the focus for SKs should be relooked.

so im sitting here looking at my sword thingy after last night's patch and i have a request to make: can you put the HI7 back on it instead of the heal proc? currently the only good healing inc items for paladins are Jhaldjarimar (7), bazanth face of the leering god (6, but with otherwise low stats) and thaz arms (6) which are quite below apathy.

the healing proc is nice and all, but HI7 on the sword allows for some versatility, not making Jhaldjarimar the MUST have bp, as there are better BPs out there ( i can think of at least 2 at the top of my head) and why the cast time 1.1?

healing is a big part of what paladins do (or at least should be doing) but being stuck with the same BP just because the focus is nowhere else to be found is kinda harsh.

Every class deals with this problem, your sword just got made amazing but your complaining about it? Yes heal inc 7 is rare(Possibly even item exclusive for your class), Do you really need the 5 ac and 25 hp you gain from magmablood or runeward?

I'm adding Healing Increment VII to a couple choice items a paladin might use.

Can you add it to Deepmetal BP? Because this game hates me and if my Paladin is in a zone, no Breastplates will drop. Ever.

Edit: on second thought, a silver breastplate dropped once. But even then it was not an upgrade.

Edit #2: Just in case someone did not catch the tone. No. I am not serious about DM.
