I had a problem with my name and when i changed it, it came up with another message then i changed it again and it waited a few then it suspended me for an hour. i think its BS though. i had the name before on another character and nothing happened, i had gotten the character up to lvl 9 and no message but i kept getting attacked constantly but a stupid warden and then i just deleted it and made a new character with the same name. i just got kicked off because of the name and i don't know what to do now.

READ THE NAMING POLICY.

DO YOU UNDERSTAND ENGLISH?

Edit :

To expand, I assume that since you have the number 4, instead of it spelled for, in your username for the boards, it follows that you enjoy both using slang, as well as kewl d00d names. In this case, going out on a limb, you probably wanted to make your name "Cupcake Watermelon" and in doing so, you eventually got caught, and jailed. Not the first time. The first time you got lucky. But after that, you just ran into a series of unfortunate events that eventually led to this post.

HOW DID I DO???

Try picking a name that doesn't violate policy. That should help.

EDIT:

was you the person who got jailed for a total of 3hrs becouse you named your self "nothing" and some outher silly defently rule brakeing names?

Yesterday was a pretty interesting day for name violations.

Gothic (nerf)-> Gothica (nerf)-> Dummy (nerf, jail 1 hour)

Frenchtoast (nerf)-> Toastdude (nerf, jail 1 hour)-> there were two more that were ridiculous. long story short he's jailed for a week for not reading the naming policy.

I mean really, the naming policy isn't that strict. You can't have names from popular media (Gandalf, Merlin, etc), names that are existing words, or names that are compound existing words (e.g. Deathdealer, Bloodfeud, etc). If you can't think of a name that doesn't break the rules, use this link.

http://rinkworks.com/namegen/

It's a random name generator. I got my character's name from it, you can too.

man you wont blieve this this guy nerfed my name i mean toastdude is a really cool name wth

As an aside, sometimes names are nerfed that don't break those policy rules. They fall under the "if it sounds like or resembles anything else" rule that isn't explicitly stated but seems to exist. I didn't argue it because of the "Don't ever argue" stipulation, but I did think nerfing "Solurus" which I was pronouncing (just sharing this because it explains how I was so surprised at the nerf) sahl-YOO-rus. It was nerfed because someone complained that it was too close to Solaris. I guess it has the same number of letters, and the same consonants in the same places... But then, names like Carn (making this up, don't know if one exists) shouldn't exist because it's close to Corn.. or Smogmu because it's too close to smegma.... etc.

I personally like the name I changed Solurus to better than Solurus anyway, but I wanted to point out that it seems somewhat often names are nerfed not by any reason listed in the policy, and you can either PM/Email and admin if you feel you were wronged, or just accept it. As I said, I wasn't attached to the name and like the new one better, so I just accepted it... and in the cases above, yeah, it's pretty obvious they were being retarded about the whole thing.

As I said before, I'll put up with having strict rules and not getting exactly what I want, since it keeps me from seeing "Hoppalong Frogidy" or some stupid crap like that.

Yeah, that's why I mentioned you can PM/email the admin... And then stated that I really didn't care that much and liked my new name better. I was just pointing out that while Gothic and Frenchtoast are obviously problematic names, sometimes things are not as clear and don't always follow the exact rules/guidelines as posted.

Wasn't arguing or trying to get my name back, just giving a valid example because if I had just said "even if you don't violate those rules, sometimes you get name nerfed" someone would have UNDOUBTEDLY said "give an example." heh... was just trying to preempt that.

hehehe! Its too bad there isn't a section here for "Today's Name Attempts". I love seeing what people try to name their toons, and ultimately have to change... provides a good chuckle every time.

I still find it strange that the filter wouldn't let me name my character Charles, but it allowed me to name him WTFJewbag

The game wouldn't allow that last name either. You can only have the first letter caps, with the rest lower case. ;p

I was just going by what you originally wrote.

Also, you can't expect the game to know every bad word combination out there and block them all. I'm sure there are alot of other inventive names you can think of, however they will get nerfed quickly by the GMs anyways.

Also, you should consider that we can't badword every badword out there, since maybe it can be used in names where it will actually make sense. (e.g. homo could be Thomos, or jerk could be Ejerko)
