Name filter?

Was talking to an old friend of mine about good old times in EQ, and he mentioned this service to me, so i grabbed my old EQ discs, installed patched up, followed the steps to get Shards of Dalaya to work, i start EQ, log in, everything works fine, i go into SoD server, try make a char. Dark Elf Enchanter, but when i try enter world it keeps refusing my names.
I tried: Quilvess, Annah, Aelynn, Sarah, Karin, Shinayne, Sinafay, Xeria, Leetah, Moonshade. Would imagine at least one of those working. Quilvess i believe is quite unique to me since i happen to be the only one in all of WoW with that name.
Just wondering if it's some really strict name filter or something, cause i think all those are suited for fantasy realm :|
The error message i got was name is rejected or you tried to make a Vah Shir. (close to that anyway).
Is there something i've missed or am i really so unlucky that all those are already taken?

Wow, that is surprising. I'd guess just bad luck, since the name filter is normally pretty liberal. Try something really freaking random (not that all of those names are exactly commonplace) and see if you can get through the filter. If not, maybe one of the admins can offer a solution.

Sarah is a lvl one DE necro, no gear equipped,
Annah is a level 2 Human Necro
Karin is a lvl 5 DE rogue,

So yeah, some of thise names are taken. Also make sure you applied your starting points, since iirc, that gives the same error message.

I could be wrong, but I think if you don't apply your starting points it doesn't let you continue in the character creation process, so you don't get to the name filter.

I tried to make an Iksar Beastie and every single name I tried said it was either taken or I was attempting to make a Vah Shir. I even tried adding multiple same last letters to the end of one name just to see and nope, nothing is going through.
