I finally decided to take the gemstone and the blackscale rank thing and put them into items. I put the shoulders and the blackscale thing into the augment kit, combined them, and it sent my shoulders into a bag. So I equipped it and made a mental note that it sends the completed thing to a bag. I put my charm and the MQ gemstone into the kit, combined it, and then closed everything and tabbed over to my other character. The augmentation vendor wouldn't sell to my other character, so I tabbed back over and deleted the augmentation kit and went to look for the charm. Charm isn't there, and the only thing I can imagine happened is the server ate the charm or for some reason it was still in the kit and I deleted it.
