Hey Dalayans!

I can't tell you how amazing it feels to be excited about SoD again.

My friends and I have a Facebook group called "Dalayan Super Friends" and it's been a ghost town since September. Just recently it's been stirring. Sweet Lady Everquest has crawled into our heads once again. We've decided to make a triumphant return very soon! I just had a few silly questions.

[To the hardcore vets out there]
- What's the population been like this past winter? Was there a substantial increase after summer wrapped up?

[We were motivated to return because of the new additions that are soon being implemented]
- Do you think we'll see more of this occurring (people returning/starting due to expansions)?

I know these are strange questions with no real 'right' answer. Just wanted to get the conversation going. Thanks!

If/when 3.0 is implemented, the population will likely increase noticeably. How far off that is remains to be seen though.

There is always a 20-30% dropoff during summer, and a regaining of that when summer is over! It can be clearly seen in the last 5 years of population data. We are pushing this summer on adverts etc to try and get new faces, so that when we rebound we will be higher than before. Anecdotally, I think I have seen a difference. Adding in the new things for newbies, and 3.0 on the horizon, I think there will be a good difference.
