My armor changes color!

I figure this is probably a tech support issue. I recently went on a spending spree for my Druid, picked up some cheap newbie armor and legs (Green Scaled Armor, Drakehide Leggings, etc.). When I put it on the Green Scaled Armor, it was green. A very deep green, and I think, oh, that's nice for a Druid. Then I put on the legs ... and they were the same color. I realized they were dyed, but then it occurred to me that there are no dyes here. So I pulled up the Dyes menu, hit OK, and everything went back to the default colors.

But now, when I zone (sometimes), the armor goes back to the green. Is this a matter of me using old "Game" files, and having a Dye for that armor left over from when I played Live? I've noticed, too, that other players seem to sport some pretty garish colors sometimes ...

Something to reset in my EQ.ini file, perhaps?

Armor dyeing is not implemented in SoD. The tint on your equipment is set by the designer or the piece.

But, that's my question. The armor color changes. Regular tint (kind of an olive green on the Armor, regular leather leggings on the Drakehide), but then when I zoned last night, it was back to the uniformly dyed green.

Edit: I logged on for a few seconds this morning, and I was green again. Maybe I'll post some screenshots if I get ambitious. Or, maybe log on a second character, see if it looks green for someone else. But, I use the same directory, so it probably will ...

This happens. If you remove it and re-equip it, it generally goes back to the right color.

Not sure why this happens.

Thanks, Crunchy, glad I'm not the only one. Did you play Live before coming here? I'm thinking it's a legacy from when I played Live, and I must have come across someone who died those pieces of armor that color, and it stuck in the .ini file or whatever.
