Must install expansions? or isnt needed?

i mean i need to install expansion to play? or with the BASIC eq i can play? , i am trying to avoid 12h download , and play for a bit and keep downloading expansions from time to time....play until 10 , download 2 expansion play a bit more ect ect u get the idea.... playing and dowloading expansions between sessions

You should read the starting guide linked via the main page. Also, we do not encourage downloading of the expansions. If you own the original CD all you have to do is patch to live up to LDoN and then run the SoD patcher.

i know wich expansions i need to install/download but i dont want to wait 12h to start playiing , i just installed eq and patching right now , Without sleecting the expansions my questions are :

i can play SoD with just Eq (0 expansions? ) i will only play the inicial zones ect ....

i can keep playing SoD (while leveling ect) and between playing sessions , download the expansiosn required?

just want to play now =( for a bit and let the patch download expansions while i am working / sleeping ect....and play in my free time stoping the download an log in.....when i quit the game , continue the download.....i hope u get the idea =/

You only have to have the original cd to play. You do not need all of the expansions. You have to be patched up to and including LDoN to play AT ALL because you will start in a zone you will not have the files for (as mentioned in my original post this is touched upon in the start guide).
