MUDs and Middle Earth

Anyone here enjoy playing MUDs? If so, any recommendations for a MUD based in Middle Earth? Would MUME be best...?

Back in the mid 90's I use to play one called "The Two Towers" site used to be t2t.org or something. It's still around and probably has about the same population as SoD, seems like last I checked they were at around 80 peak users...but that's with no 2 boxing at all. So actual users. I have no idea how good it is anymore though.

I used to enjoy playing The Unofficial Square Soft Mud, Evolution, and both of Trenton's muds. (Too bad he gave up on the FF1 mud probably the best one I've ever played)
I haven't played any Middle Earth ones though, so I'm not much help here =/

Only MUD I ever played was 3-Kingdoms ... they always seemed to have the best player base and pretty unique custom content.

Look for basically any mud thats coded in Diku or SMAUG and you should find what fits for you.
