Mouselook - Left/Right problem

It seems that there's a bug where mouselook to the left and right is exceedingly slow when playing at a very high frame rate.

The fix is to go to the Options -> Display -> Advanced Options screen and turn down the framerate to about 60 or so.

Here's my problem. I can't find a UI Skin where I can bring up the Advanced Options screen.

Is there an eqclient.ini setting or similar method that I can use instead?

afaik its a client restriction. if you download and use EQ playnice which can be found on the SoD home page under the " Files" link it will strottle your FPS. when i bought a new computer i had to do this and even then it didnt have quite the same sensitivity as my old comp but it was enough to make the game playable. you can also try turning up your mouse sensitivity in game.

Old thread, I know, but I found a fix for ATI/AMD cards and I thought I'd share it with you all since this is a really annoying issue. The problem comes from framerate being too high, so you have to lower it somehow. In Catalyst Control Center, create an application profile for eqgame.exe, and under Frame Rate Control, change "Wait for vertical refresh" to always on. Some people say you can force Vsync with EQPlaynice, but I couldn't get that to work for me.

However, this will not affect EQ if it's running windowed, nor will it work for EQWindows, because Vsync won't affect windowed applications. In order to get the x-axis mouselook faster when you are running windowed, you can throttle down your FPS by enabling all the 3D enhancement features. I enabled everything but Anti-aliasing first, and then increased my AA gradually until the framerate dropped enough that the mouselook worked. 8x AA got it to where it needed to be for me. You can fiddle around with it until it drops enough to work for you.

Hope this helps someone.
