Mouse pad scroll

Hi Guys! Just getting used to a laptop with Vista on it.
I did a fresh install of the game the other day and everything seems to be
working well except the laptop scroll on the mouse pad doesn't seem to
work in game. My laptop with XP has no problems scrolling in and out (for character)
or up and down (for chat text) Is there some sort of in game setting I need to
change? because my scroll seems to be working just fine outside of the game.
Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

Not many people use Vista, from my experience/impression, but chances are it might simply not work, for some odd Vista reason. You could consider getting a mouse for your laptop, for the USB port.
Alternatively you could search through google, since if it's an Vista issue and not a driver issue (you should try updating driver first), it's bound to repeat itself in other games as well, and there are probably someone out there with greater insight.
 
Hey good point! I will try the scroll pad in Guild Wars since I installed that as well...
I also don't know too much about Vista, let alone the German version :(
 
Okay, I just checked guildwars and scroll works just fine... is there a setting in the EQclient.ini or
anywhere else in game that I can try to play around with?
 
I have vista and use the scroll on my laptop and it works fine. I didn't change any of the settings in the eqclient.ini, so I'm not sure if there even is one to change.
 
There likely isnt, vista is 3 OSs past EQs release... so im relatively sure theres no vista compatibility options anywhere.
 
Buy a regular mouse - laptop mice suck for gaming anyways. Try to update your drivers from the laptop manufacturer if you're adament about it. I can't imagine vista doing something like that.
 
Okay, I didn't mean "are there any Vista settings in EQ" or vice versa...
I only wanted to know if EQ has any mouse settings or options anywhere.
For Example... I can modify keyboard settings and video settings in the txt
files or ingame under options. I have a mouse... just used to playing with my
scroll pad on my other laptop.
 
My scroll sometimes gets stuck, hitting F9 to change the view fixes the problem, might work as well.
 
hmm have usb mouse which works normally out of game, but not in game. I've tried the F9 and changing option in alt+O multiple times - no dice. I have MouseWheelZoom=1 in ini file. Still nothing.
