 WHAT?! That was the end of the "Ruin - you" issue, you retiring as a player? ;( that's bad, now who's the leader?

A number of members had moved over to Ruin, the other members decided to form a new guild under Nazul's leadership.

Other way around.

I've quit EQ twice now. Once from Live, once from WR. The first time was for good until Wiz started WR. I might come back, but right now I have no plans to.

Also, this wasn't entirely because of Ruin, either.

I wonder

I wonder if nightfall is going to turn into one of those guilds where you need to be level 65+ and have 50 billion aa points and wait for 3 years till we actually get around to inviting you into the guild. Prolly will, most of em do.

When actively recruiting, GotW and Ruin had a flexible level requirement of 50 and Impact accepted all levels. Since these are/were the 3 largest guilds on WR in recent times.... which "most" are you talking about?

..

It was a exageration, but you get the idea. Why have a level requirement? For god sakes there are prolly 80-100 people playing at peak times. Make one guild, invite everyone and be happy :)

Some people like pizza. Some like hamburgers. Some like tofu. Some people like rivalry. Some like group hugs. Some people like raiding most of the time. Some would rather grind. Variety is the spice of life.

Not everyone has the same definition of fun. Each guild is different. They can differ in leadership style, guild goals, raid times, requirements, rules, etc. I encourage anyone that is interested to look into each guild and see what best suits them. If you don't like any, find a group of people that think like you and start your own. :) What i don't encourage is certain people making blanket judgements on the guilds without really knowing what goes on in them. Joining a high end guild won't make you "robots like Ruin and GoTW, only worried that they raid items and insist respect from them."

A lot of people find it fun to have the healthy competition in the high end game. There is nothing malicious in it. Most people have friends in both guilds. There was an open invitation from Ruin to GotW to do some joint raids and work towards a common goal. With new leadership, I'm hoping Nightfall will agree that this could be fun. :D

Taken straight from our charter, which will be publicly displayed when our webpage is finished (within a few days at most).

1. What is Nightfall all about?
Nightfall is a guild for serious high-level players that are interested in exploring the content of Winter's Roar. We work skillfully together to progressively face greater challenges. Every member of Nightfall is important, respected and appreciated.

All members have a "level focus" and are actively seeking to reach level 65 and further enhance their character with Alternate Advancement abilities.. Members of Nightfall endeavor to be honorable, kind, and respected by other players on the Winter's Roar community.

and

The required level for joining Nightfall at this point, is 51.

and

4. Attitude:
We expect every member of Nightfall to be respectful, polite, and empathetic to other players on Winter's Roar. Our members are mature, responsible, and caring and it is expected that they will act that way. Any inexplicable reports of bad behavior (i.e. disrespect, rudeness, disregard for other players safety) will result in warnings and possible expulsion from the guild.

Nightfall forbids arguing, negative comments, verbally attacking other members in any form of WR communication. It is unacceptable in all situations. Members of Nightfall are expected to be mature and use /tells to solve their differences.

Hope this answers some questions instead of raising more :)
