Ok sorry to sound like a dummy or something.. But I am planning on buying everquest and joining your server soon. :) I was wondering if the game will still work if I bought all the expansions or I am just wasting my money and only can get up to LDoN?

It will work with all the expansions loaded as i have just started playing with this setup. There is a little download you need to place in your help folder before playing which is nice and simple.
 
You only need to buy an expansion to play on EQLive. You don't need to pay anything to download it.
 
The thing is it is cheaper to buy EQ Platinum with GoD thrown in than it is to get original and patch up to LoY, LDoN or whatever so you might as well buy EQPlat and install the lot.
