I can't believe I haven't thought of this before! And it was a new player that made this suggestion, so watch for Moontree fund raisers coming soon!
What will be be doing for fund raisers? I first off have several 50/50 draws planned! I hope this will help bring in some extra platinum to help fund Moontree's events, so I can have more of them!
Although I have not come up with specific details as to how long tickets will be sold for before each drawing, I have decided how it will work. Each toon will be assigned a sequental number for each ticket purchased, and will be assigned at the time of ticket purchase. A form thread will be created (most likely directly on the Moontree forum site (click my banner to go there!) listing each person who bought the ticket and there assigned number or numbers. For example, lets say Apleh bought 1 ticket, and Pefla bought 2, and Sillic also bought one, the thread would look like this.
Then, on <date> at <time> I will use the /rand command (In this example, /rand 4) to determine the winner! Anyone is welcome to come and witness the rolling, and the winner does NOT need to be present to win. If the winner is not present he or she will have the option to try and meet up with me online, or send me some vendor trash for the winning amount.
I would also like to ask for a bit of help (Don't I always?) but not so much in the form of donations. I am hoping one or more nice individuals would consider selling some high end items (I am thinking tradeskill items, such as a robe of flowing water, and they have a "cost") at cost, or lower then average market, to Moontree for lotteries. This should also help raise allot more funds for Moontree's events! And money can easily be turned into gear to help gear up new players! Although I will not be buying them just yet, I would like to know who (if anyone) and how many are willing to make me these items, what they are, and what they are asking for them. You can send me a PM if you prefer.
