Monk/Shammy Duo Looking for gear

I have created a monk/shammy duo and have been boxing them up to both level 14. (Names are Sivat and Ssliter if you want to look them up on Wanelo) I was wondering if there was any good places to level up that I could get a couple good/mediocre drops for either of the two, even though I feel like the shaman is lacking a little bit more because of the lack of newbie gear quests. Quests or mobs to kill would help out a lot =) Thank you very much.

Ymmijj,

I would suggest hanging around in Stinger's (northern half of zone), South Tarhyl (stay on the grass and watch out for snakes!), or Blackburrow, you are easily high enough to farm vendor junk to help you out. You could also wander into Mielech A for a bit but this zone goes up to mid 20's and you might not want to kill your xp bonus in here yet, a real good training 1hb drops fairly close to the entrance - Broken Liquor Bottle 3/11 with a minor proc - pair this with an ulak (4/13 I think) and your h2h and 1hb skills should rise real quickly.

Loot everything and sell most of it, you will be surprised at how much $ you will get. Use the proceeds to buy some chain pieces for your shammy and supplement with soft leather and various stuff you will find on PC vendors. You might want to ditch the feral scepter on your monk - it reduces your primary stat (agi) by 10, you absolutly need this stat to be as high as possible for avoidance since monks don't get as much mitigation as the true tanks and our armor isn't as good in the AC department. The $ you can get from this will also allow you to buy some of the Wyvernfang armor pieces - its a long and dangerous run though to turn them in for the armor, but it is pretty good at your level (and beyond - my monk still has the arms at 41, looking for better though :p ). All three zones have weapon drops that will better suit both your monk - non-magical but free for the killing. Keep an eye out for one or two flails (9/33 1hb and not too heavy) for your monk and one for your shammy and a couple of ulaks (light on the damage but hella quick hitting which is better for building skill), always keep your combat skills maxed (at least for your monk). Also you might consider not worrying about the weight restriction for a bit to allow you to carry a couple of different weapons on your monk for training purposes - until you get a couple wt. reduction bags. One drops in Blackburrow off of the High Warden and one drops off of something in Warrens...sorry don't remember, its been a while.

Alternatively, you can head over to Warrens and pick up a butt-load of soft leather but it doesn't have good AC for your shammy nor does it have the stats or AC to outpower your newb armor on the monk (I used the newb stuff after lvl 30 - pre-nerf though).

After you have both chars out-fitted then you can try going deep into Warrens, Shrouded Isles, group in First Ruins, or make a reeeaaaallllly long run over to Great Divide (use Thurgadin as your base for supplies and banking).

If you wish you can Wanelo my monk (Sstecik) and shammy (Slessik) for suggestions on what to keep an eye out for or to buy.

Good Hunting! Let me know if you have any other questions!
