I've seen gauntlets in game that give + 2 cold damage, etc. However, what I haven't seen are boots with a +dmg modifier on them. Is there a reason for this? Icy Terror Hide have a proc on them, which is neat, but it'd be really awesome if you implemented some really nice monk / warrior / (any other class that can kick) boots with a damage mod on them. Nothing major, but enough so as it actually effects damage output, even as little as 5 % of the kick damage overall.
So instead of my "high" kick being for 85 damage, it would be for 120, via a boot with +20 cold damage / fire damage / magical damage, etc.
I also don't see a real issue with balance, considering if gauntlets are allowed to have damage mods on them, there should be no reason why boots don't also.
Anyway, just a thought I suppose.
