When I did a fresh install (used CDs up to GoD) I was unable to patch live as it kept giving me internet connection errors (yes I was connected to the internet) and parsing XML file errors. So I performed a very long copy of the files from an existing install where SoD works perfect to this machine, redownloaded the patcher files and did a 'repatch all' just to make sure. But now I am getting Missing String 303 when I try to launch SoD.
I've found pages and pages of posts about this so I was wondering if we could get something official on how to correct this added to the FAQ?
If I understand correctly all we need to do is delete the eqstr_us.txt file and repatch SoD? Or is there more involved? I've read posts ranging from that, to "repairing the game in the Control Panel" (whatever the hell that means) to doing a compelte fresh install and repatch of the whole game.
