Missing Quest Item

I've petitioned several times in game, but it was most likely at a time that a GM wasn't on. I work long hours and a lot of times play at odd hours. Anyway, I am missing a staff of some sort, that according to the wiki, I need to turn in to the gnoll priestess in Lake Starfall for the COI quest, Until Death Us Do Part.

I will say that I am not sure if I ever got the piece or not. I did this quest nearly 2 years ago before I took a hiatus from the game. I returned to the game a few months ago. It is possible that after returning to the game and cleaning out junk from my bank, I inadvertantly destroyed this item thinking it was trash. It seems that without out this item and completing this quest, I can not advance in the COI faction quests so that I can eventually advance on to MQ2.

GM help would be most appreciative. In game name is Staffros.

Thank you.

I did get a reply to petition in game and GM told me to put a post here so that a Dev can take a look to see if they can find out what happened so I can be assisted. Since I've already done that, I thought I'd reply to this post so any dev that is looking through might be able to find the time to help me with this problem. Thanks in advance!

i'm not sure if turning the staff in is a requirement for the quest, i think it just gives you good alignment adjust and removes the quest from your quest log. you can try giving the priestess lord rotfang's head again, but i'd be surprised if it worked.

What does the priestess say if you hail her?

Yeah, I don't really want the good alignment shift (as I am a necro). The preistess says something about her people "always" needing her when hailed. As I understand, I have to complete this quest along with a few others in order to obtain the next rank.

The step you can't complete without that item doesn't award faction experience. You can do without it and reach the next rank without increased effort.

Why would you choose Coi if you don't want good alignment hits? /boggle

Because I chose COI before I read up on it. I know that I'm going to take hits on my evilness now. Besides, I started this a couple of years ago not realizing it would be something that I'd really consider getting too deep into. I took a hiatus for nearly two years from the game and just came back a few months ago. I'm a bit more involved with quests and advancing now than I was then.
