Mini update 28/11

Wiz

NOT DONATING *EVER*
- All player-crafted items will now have two augment slots of the same type instead of just one
- Previous gear with two augment slots (Thazeran's Tower items) will now work properly.
- Decreased the potency of the mana conservation focus to 1% per rank.
- Increased the potency of the Spell Casting Mastery AA. Previously this AA offered almost no mana conservation, now it will offer roughly 5-6% reduction in mana usage at rank 3.

Here is what is going to happen:

- Mantle of the forest will be knocked down 25 mana at its base.
- Molten Core will have its gem components knocked off.
- Molten Core and Violet Ointment will both have components with a 1,000pp+ cost added to them.

Since I don't think anyone is debating the overpoweredness of ghostmetal or wyvernhide, ramping up the production costs should force the prices up to a point where the effort is comparable with the reward.

Could be blind but didn't find a component on the brewing merchant for violet ointment, and the combine as it was doesn't work. Update please?

Great Idea!!!! But you never did address my issues with it previously.

1) Give all player made items 2 augment slots of the appropiate type. This would reflect the manufacturers ability to customize the items they make and make their items much more desirable. Problems: I forsee here would be removing an augment, would it strip both? Also, would it make the items unbalanced or just more desirable?

How will augment removal be dealt with? Will it remove both? Will there be a choice? How will that be done?

Well there kinda had to be given the increase in value that a seconed aug slot brings byond a general revamp of how TS items are handled.

Me Like.

With this change to the ointments the amount of clicks i'll have to make to max my Brewing (currently at 237) is enough to give me carpal tunnel. Previously I was just farming kedge water and had a 50-50 chance of making the ointment and getting some ok skill ups. Is there any way you can add an additional recipe that's the equivalent in farming to voilet ointment?

Actually, how's this sound: make the 1k component part a seperate combine that's trivial. That way people can still skill up on it but not throw away their plat.

Put the combine at the stage where you combine with your high quality urn or when you combine the result of the urn combine and the glass vial since those trivial.

Skilling up brewing from 240 to 250 was already way to expensive now its grazy.
Brewing just doesnt compare in difficulty to more usefull tradeskills like tailoring.

to go from 240 to 250 with tailoring you need way less combines and its way cheaper as blue oints cost about 100pp to make and wyrmhides cost like 5pp. so thats 105pp each attempt now brewing costs about 1440pp each attempt and you need somewhere around 25 combines per skill up.

Good idea

I really like Noktar's idea also....it makes the item very valuable when its completed but at the same time doesn't bankrupt the people trying to skill brewing. Please consider this change...thanks.
