Mini-boss Dungeon Listing?

I'm a vet player of EQ1 and will be starting SoD soon.

I love to dungeon crawl and slam PH's until a named spawns. Is there any sites that list which PH's are where so I can level and camp PH's all my way to 65?

Or should I just assume they are in the same places they were in live. In which case I need to remember what sites I used in the past.

Assuming any similarities to live will get you on a very bad boat, headed toward SoD newbie-dom.

While you experience SoD, bear one thing in mind: Wiz makes more sense.

Ranging from the way the server code calculates aggro, to dual wielding, all the way to spawn timers, and aggro code, it is all reworked. And unlike Wiz's competitors... his code is constantly improved upon, and made more feasible.

The best advice i can offer you is to come to sod seeing it as a constantly evolving work in progress, and be amazed by how complete this incomplete project already is.

code will inevitably change during your time here. It may be significant, and noticeable, or it may be behind the scenes. Either way, expect stuff to make more sense.

named spawns are generally in the same areas as live (dead end rooms) but thats basically the end of the similarities in most cases.

That has no relevance to his post. In truth, many of the nameds do spawn in the same spots as they did on live. Many zone locations are clearly setup to house named mobs and they're often used as such. Just look where ya did on Live for a start.

Troll much? i think it was very relevant, without giving him xyz co-ords for nameds in every zone between 1 and 65. Maybe iaeo hit the nail a little bit more dead on.

Where's the relevance? He asked if this server had nameds that adhere well to dungeon crawling and where he could find an overview, and you went on about how he should draw no similarities between Live and SoD as SoD is coded better and constantly evolves. People are so quick to say SoD is superior (which it is), but to say that you cannot relate the two is :psyduck:. Like I said, many of the nameds are in the same spots so you might wanna start there.

The maps are the same, and like iaeolan said, generally, names will spawn ni dead end rooms. But they are not typically the same spot as live, neither do they have the same name, same ph's, nor same timers as live for the larger part.

His question about where to find info was just... not worth addressing because on the main SoD page there's a button that says "knowledge base" and sends you directly to where you want to go.

You are just trolling, and you're misleading anyone who reads this thread more by adding additional commentary.

My post wasn't as concise as iaeolan's, however, do not misinform a new player by leading them to believe SoD is anything like live server side, as the only similarities are in fact the client, the models, and the renders. The zone connections ARE NOT the same, creatures show no similarities in abilities, factions, anything. Timers are not the same, spawn tables are not the same, race names/types aren't even the same. Sod is in fact VERY different form live, the similarities are about the same as throwing a f150 shell ontop of a chevy s10, and calling them both the same truck.

I urge you to spend your time at spawns like assassin / supplier, and wait for that notorious named mob... chase after fippy darkpaw in "qeynos".. camp endlessing that glowing black stone in "qeynos hills". They simply do not exist, the only similarity is that SoD does infact have rare spawns / named spawns, and use SOME of the more obvious spawn points.

Riesen has no clue what the hell is going on in this thread.

It's pretty obvious he was aware of the differences between SoD and Live, and there was no need for your overzealous explanation of SoD's unique differences.

Hey, he said he was new, and that he'd be starting sod soon. I answered his question, it's not really useful to check the old websites from eqlive, as everything is different.

I threw my 2cp in too, because he said he hadn't started. Cut the flame fest guys.

I honestly don't think a new player would complain about too much information stop correcting people over correct information

Lol. Half the people who play SoD bitch/moan about the STUPIDEST shit I've ever heard just to be "right". It's quite entertaining.
