Ok on my monk arcibu. I went to mielech, got the dagger to collect the 20 souls with. Well first off, after i got 2 souls I died. Then I had like 16 souls, killed the real mielech, finished the last 4 souls off then went to give my dagger to the * version of mielech and he just returned it and wouldn't spawn. Is this a bug or did I screw it up by dieing or killing real mielech first to try to get two mielech kills?

No its not a bug, you know you have completed the souls when you give the dagger to another "golem" and it doesnt bloodlust. They corrected teh bug where the spirit just attacks you cuz your dagger is full. I know personally you can die and even do your soul gathering in different sesssions. Im guessing you have 1 more soul to collect.
