Metallic Grabbers are an awesome item for FD pullers without root (Monk, Shadowknight), ever since the first day I saw one I desired to get one. The chance of getting them on a war raid is small enough to be ridiculous. I've hunted conquered war zones with nobody in them as much as I've been able to in order to hopefully get Metallic Grabbers to drop. I have probably killed over a thousand war mobs, and seen about a dozen Hunters while doing so, and probably like 20+ of every other light blue named. I've never got the MGs to drop. I've seen it drop before during an attack. I spend an obsessive amount of time playing this game and will continue to kill war mobs for a chance at these, but I wish it could get an increase in drop rate, seeing as I've killed at least a dozen Hunters without seeing it. The other possibility that I would like to entertain is having Metallic Grabbers as a fame reward, so I could try to get them another way.

I'll admit I'm not sure on this but I thought I heard somewhere that some war loot would be recycled as mob drops in Ikisith.
 
Could just be terrible RNG luck, I am pretty sure I have seen those drop twice (at least once) and I don't do a ton of war stuff. They would have dropped while defending though, maybe that is the difference if you are mostly re-taking conquered zones?
 
I've seen these drop numerous times, I even managed to pick up a pair (Very fun in pvp). You're just having unfortunate luck with the rng.
 
Do those bigass yellowcons still spawn actually? I've heard divided opinions on this. Last time I saw them I think was the event xardon had, with the orbs (I may be wrong about that though, it was a long ass time ago)
