This thread was initially started on the Technical Support forums, but I feel it warrants a repost here.  To reiterate, the Guild message of the day, at least I think, is extremely important to the way I run my guild, and that thread I linked has a handful of people agreeing with me.  Iaeolan made a great point on the previous thread when he said:

I would like to see the Guild Message of the Day put back on, or at least issue a /cmd motd off/on put into the game.  Who's with me?
 
/signed, I find it more annoying to type /get whenever I want to see what's our MOTD than having it pop everytime I zone :p
 
Definately want to see the MOTD displayed when I zone/log in. Or atleast when I log on for the first time of the day - couldnt it be made like the server's motd?
 
I've posted and supported the suggestion in a staff only forum, linking the OP's thread. Now it's just up to the powers that be to give it a yay or a nay.

agreed as previously in the other
 
The MOTD allows me to say things to my whole guild, even when I'm not on. Which sometimes happens, without repeating myself ad nauseum.
 
It shows up the first time I log in usually, but later in the day if I have relogged etc it's gone.
 
Even when I first log on the guildmotd is hit and miss. I would love to see it everytime I zone.

Maybe a command /cm guildmotd on would work? Is it something that could be on/off for an individual?
