Mastercrafted Weapons

Whats up with the mastercrafted weapons getting nerfed?
I had bought a few a while ago (most of my money)... and most of them got 5-8 delay added to them recently (i noticed when i logged in today)
Were they really too good before or something?
Seems like they aren't worth what i payed for them now ;(

ive always found MC weapons for sale at vendors in halas i was suprised when i saw soneone auctioning them for 5pp a piece. there not hard to get and most of em rot.
 
I have found them for sale on npc merchants too (and it made me very happy to find a 14 29 2hb and a 10 33 1hb mastercrafted staff that way).. but i was dumb early on and for instance spent my first 5pp on a Mastercrafted warhammer that was 8 26 (now its 8 32, not really better than a 9 33 newbie morning star haha)

mc great staff 14 29 is now 14 35 (still ok but it was so awesome before!)
mc staff 10 33 is now 10 40 (ouch)
others i dont have the info for at the moment

they are still ok for low levels but they seem more like amatuer-crafted weapons now

It only affects me because I'm new .. im sure i will find or afford better soon
Just wondering why they needed the nerf... my guess would be that they are common crap loot for people higher level than myself that just ends up getting sold to merchants or rotting because of the weight and that makes it too easy for newbies to have decent weapons?
