Slot: WRIST
Effect: Runeshield (Combat)
STR: +4 DEX: +4 STA: +4 CHA: +4 WIS: +4 INT: +4 AGI: +4 HP: +40 MANA: +40
Recommended level of 45.
WT: 0.6 Size: SMALL
Class: WIZ
Race: ALL
I've heard both that wrist items will proc on any spell or just based on what the effect is (beneficial spells for beneficial effects, detrimental for detrimentals). Either the random number generator hates me with a vengeance or the latter is definitely true. I constantly see my bracer proc on gates and during buffing and never during combat. Considering Runeshield is a 200 pt rune, that's not exactly much use during most ports.
Therefore, my suggestion: Change the effect such that Runeshield goes off during detrimental attacks. Create a second spell that's detrimental and has no effect, but will autocast Runeshield when it goes off. See Shadowknight tap spells for reference. This way nukes will proc the bracer and the Runeshield effect itself is still beneficial (which prevents buff overwriting and allows it to be clicked off or not stack if you already have a better rune up).
