Mana regen cap

I wanted to clarify that the cap for flowing thought while fighting is 15 mana/tick, whereas out of fights it's 30/tick. Only flowing thought is capped, and not mental clarity, buffs, etc, correct?

Now that we have that clarified, how about if we add this item into the equation:

Hmm...well, I can't link it because I don't know who else has it. So, anyway, it's the Sanguine Idol of Stillness. Does this mana regen stack with flowing thought? I guess it isn't as big of an issue was it was before due to the fact that I lost a couple FT from the reductions a couple weeks ago, but I don't think I've ever had a definitive answer.
 
As far as I know it's worn mana regen that caps at 15, not just flowing thought. So your FT, that buff, etc cannot go past 15 a tick.
 
15/30 for FT while in/out of combat. 30/60 overall mana regen for in/out of combat.
 
Judging by that thread the max theoretical in combat would be 30 spell/song/items that give other than FT (AKA my Idol) + 20 FT. Correct?

Well, your idol also drops off a pretty easy mob.
 
I was just confirming it more so than saying "wha wha wha my Idol isn't useful". Time to get some FT items instead.
 
If I'm reading this correctly, 10 FT and 20 generic mana regen is as good as 15 FT and 15 generic mana regen in combat?
 
20/40 is the item cap.

30/any is the spell cap.

Lich line is unaffected by either cap.

So where does mental clarity fall? It's not really an item nor is it a spell. By your statement my Idol would actually stack with the flowing thought line as opposed to anything else.

Worn spells with +mana is item.

AAs do not have a cap at all.

I'm so glad I don't have a caster with a lot of FT, or else I'd be thoroughly confused right now.
